we love our faucet

By from Camas, WA Nov 07, 2009
We have just spen the last 4 months remodeling our bathroom in 1200 sq ft old country farm house. I chose the traditional style with updated service. Our faucet fits and works great in the total design. We are very happy with all the products and would recommend them to anyone using this vintage style to remodel.

review of kb1401 - victorian mono block lavatory faucet

By from Charlotte, NC Apr 29, 2011
There is a significant design issue with this faucet set. Because the pop-up vertical actuator arm (part # 14 on Diag. 2009-01-A)) must be pulled up on a 45° angle, not vertically, there must be a minimum of 3” clearance behind the faucet to the backsplash and 4” would be better. That means the backsplash can be no closer than 3” or the pop-up cannot be raised or lowered. Further, the actuator rod from the pop-up over to the vertical plastic connector (part# 36) is 3½” too short to reach on my sink which is not unusually large ( a Kohler Kelston under mount model # 2382-0 that’s 14” front to back). This rod & ball assembly is only about 6” long which means if the faucet is set back 1” from the edge it would limit you to a very small 10” sink.
There were warnings and cautions on the directions regarding the hook ups but nothing was said in the installation instructions or shown on the drawings about the necessity of these dimensional requirements. All of this was discovered by my plumber the day after the sinks and new granite tops were installed, and the faucet sets installed.

victorian mono block lavatory faucet

By from Severna Park, MD Mar 03, 2011
The faucet is very attractive and works well. We like it better than we thought we would. We would have preferred more information on the measurments on the product specifications page that was on the website. We were unable to accurately predict the exact dimensions. The countertop area behind the faucet in our bathroom is unusually narrow. As a result, we were unable to install the sink stopper lever in the normal position and had to put it under the sink. Fortunatley, we had a great plumber who was able to figue this out when he installed it.
